The beautiful village of Cerne Abbas in Dorset is most famous for The Cerne Abbas Giant or the 'Rude Man' which is the largest chalk hillfigure in Britain.
However Cerne Abbas has much more to offer. It was recently voted the Most Desirable Village in Britain

It is very picturesque with an active community. There is a flourishing school, a modern doctors surgery and village hall, the village store and post office (which is a local tourist information point, and where you will also find a Town Trail of Cerne Abbas), a teashop, two other pubs, and a number of shops to visit.

Cerne has an 'Open Gardens' weekend in June, when around 20 beautiful gardens are open to the public - for more details please click here
